August 15, 2016 - Chicago, IL - LaSalle Capital ("LaSalle") is pleased to announce that its portfolio company Westminster Foods II, LLC ("Westminster" or the "Company"), has acquired H. Fox & Co., Inc. ("Fox"). The acquisition of Fox broadens Westminster's existing sauce, syrup and condiment business, which includes Gold's horseradish based sauces and Nathan's mustard lines.
Fox, based in Brooklyn, NY, was founded in 1895 by Herman Fox and is a manufacturer of chocolate and flavored syrups sold through retail and foodservice channels under the "Fox's" and "Fox's U-bet" brands. In 1904 Fox created its original formula for chocolate syrup used in "Egg Creams," the ubiquitous New York drink synonymous with Fox's.
Westminster's Chief Executive Officer, Bob Abramowitz, stated, "We're very happy to add Fox to our growing sauces and syrup portfolio. Like Gold's horseradish, Westminster crackers and Lucy's snacks, the Fox brand is well known for premium quality and authenticity."
